PHOENIX, Sept. 15, 2020: On the heels of its new Utah office opening and the addition of a real-time audio and video telehealth solution to its existing AXiOM Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform, Health Information Management Systems (HiMS), today announced it was honored with a Gold award in the CEO World Award competition. The company was also selected as a finalist in this year’s Arizona Technology Council’s 2020 Governor’s Celebration of Innovation Awards (GCOI).

The CEO World Awards honors leaders across the globe who set industry benchmarks for excellence. Al Maskari was selected as a Gold winner in the CEO of the Year Health Care category for retaining 100% of HiMS’s customers in 2019 and for the company’s rapid implementation of software solutions that addressed the needs of its customers to quickly ramp services as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As traditional, legacy health IT solutions struggled to adapt to COVID19, Al Maskari and his team were able to integrate a telemedicine solution into its Axiom EHR within 48 hours, something that typically takes nine months to achieve. This above-and-beyond flexibility was instrumental in ensuring HiMS’ customers quickly adjusted to changing clinical demands.
